EVO HPH Kevlar Helmet | Evolution Helmets

The EVO-HPH, is a lightweight all Kevlar Helmet based on the U.S. Army's Sound Protective Helmet. The EVO-HPH Helmet has been tested to MIL-H-43925D, ANZI Z90.1 and approved under the new DOI helmet standard 4.3 and is exportable without the need of an export license. The EVO HPH is a Dual Visor Helmet that is NVG ready and DOI certified! By purchasing this product, you will fly easy knowing that you are heavily protected against the elements. Proudly made in the United States, the lightweight kevlar and fiberglass fiber construction of this helmet will provide protection and comfort throughout all of your missions. To guarantee comfort, we have equipped this helmet with a memory foam comfort Boxell liner and an adjustable heavy duty leather chin strap. The innovative quick release cable and communications system of the EVO HPH will make sure you are connected to your crew even in the worst of conditions. Choose from smoke, yellow, or clear for your visor to ensure you see as much as possible. The EVO HPH comes with removable ear cups, a stackable earcup spacer pad kit, and a heavy duty canvas crew bag for optimal storage. These helmets come in medium to extra-extra large sizes, which can be determined using our convenient online sizing chart.

This was my first HPH helmet, I've been in the Gallet 250 & The EVO 252, so this was a bit of a change. The fit is a bit different and requires a different approach to fine tuning fit. It is significantly lighter than anything I have worn and is really comfortable. It sits on my head well, and with NVG's, still feels stable, and comfortable. I needed my boom mic adjusted as it wouldn't stay tight and the lip light I ordered with it seemed too heavy for the mic boom, other than those minor issues its been perfect. The staff at EVO told me to send it back and they would address and fix my concerns with a fast turn around. The customer service and responsiveness is nothing I have found with other Aviation helmet suppliers. I had a recent bad experience with a helmet company in NY, and was left needing a helmet in a hurry. What I waited 5 months for from the other guy, and had to send back because it didn't work, I had in less that 3 weeks from EVO..., thats with a custom build and paint job also. The quality of workmanship is superior, durability, and functionality is also superior. I had my last 252 from EVO for 3 years and it held up better than the Gallets my coworkers use... wasn't even close. The HPH is light, comfortable and feels very stable when worn. I cant say enough about how pleased I am with this helmet. At time of writing this, EVO has my helmet doing the small adjustments, they said I should have it back in next couple days.

This company came thru for me. Good team work. Good communication. Personal calls with valuable advice on fit, options.. I received the helmet and Was very pleased to find it up to my hopeful expectation.

Perfect

So I was a bit skeptical about this helmet because the lack of reviews I was able to find and also about this company. I want to start by say I will ALWAYS order from this company from now on, they are 100% on the customer satisfaction. My helmet came in a pearl color when I had ordered white and they were so understanding and helpful and made me the helmet I wanted. As for the helmet it is really comfortable but I will say that it does feel a LITTLE on the bulky side but it is so lightweight. I got the A20's in mine and I could not be happier. The inner lens design is not so great because the "push" button is quite difficult to maneuver but overall I would say if you are thinking about this helmet I would definitely get it and get it from this place because I seen first hand how they are!

Note: When comparing test results with other helmets, pay close attention to the Velocity of the impact. Many helmet companies will not show you the speed to which the helmet was subjected to, but instead say that their helmets performed at 250 G's, etc., but fail to tell you the velocity.

Make sure you compare the speed and that impact was on a flat anvil with a head form inserted in the helmet. Some helmet companies do not drop their helmets with any weight inside which would give you a great test result, but not truthful performance.

Each Helmet size has a range of sizes based on the Comfort Liner used in the helmet. Comfort liners come in 1/4 in, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch thick.

All Comfort liners supplied with the helmet are washable.
