EVOLUTION "EVO" HELMETS
What are EVO Helmets?
Evolution Helmets were unveiled at the Las Vegas HAI show in 2014 by Helicopter Helmets, LLC. Since then, Evolution Helmets have been the standard for what a Flight helmet should. Light, Innovation, comfortable and with good quality audio. In addition, the EVO Series of the flight helmet have been continued to be updated. In addition to the standard 300 lb pull chin strap strength, which some helmets do not meet, the EVO series flight helmet uses a magnetic release that exceeded breaking test to 525 lbs.
EVO helicopter pilot helmets were the first to introduce the cable quick disconnect so that no more adapters were necessary. With the EVO cable system, just select the connector that your aircraft requires and plug in and go. We have over 20 cables available and make them with the Fisher Plug, the Russian ZSH Plug, UK NATO and U.S. NATO Plug.
Evolution Helmets come in more colors that are no charged as "Extra" like other dealers. We have to paint the flight helmet anyway, so why charge for a standard color paint? Custom painting is also available thru Helmet FX.

The helicopter pilot helmet can contain a shield, a lining, an ear cup with optional edge protection that is appropriate to include impact safety, noise attenuation and maintenance of the retaining network, visor(s) and contact devices. Optional edge shielding is needed if the edge of the shell where the user will touch is smooth. -- the helicopter pilot helmet must have a protective surface (shell) with continuous contour at all points on or above the test line. The helmet shall be inspected to ensure that all components are present and free from any defects that would affect the proper functioning of the service.
Helicopter Helmet Visor System
One or two polycarbonate visors can be included with the helicopter pilot helmet. The visor assembly shall ensure that the visor lens stays in place when positioned in a completely deployed state. As mounted, the visor can provide the wearer with an unobstructed view of the aircraft instrumentation while ensuring glare cover for the view outside the aircraft. The visor shall be inspected to maintain compliance, ensuring that all parts are present and free from any faults that may have an effect on the proper operation of the device.
Sound System
The helmet must have a sound attenuation system for the wearer. Usually, the acoustic safety device consists of ear cups with headphones and comfortable ear pads for warmth. The ear cups provide proper acoustic protection and are placed within the exterior of the helmet. The attenuation mechanism is checked to ensure that it is free from any fault that may impair the proper operation of the service.
