Common MSA Gallet Flight Helmet Repair Questions
Not sure whether your MSA Gallet helmet needs an adjustment, replacement part or professional repair? These are some of the most common Gallet flight helmet troubleshooting questions we hear.
How do I know if my MSA Gallet flight helmet needs professional repair?
Visible shell or impact-liner damage, loose or damaged retention hardware, visor problems, communications issues, damaged wiring or a helmet that no longer fits correctly can all be reasons to have the helmet professionally evaluated.
Can an older MSA Gallet flight helmet be refurbished?
Many MSA Gallet helmets can be serviced or refurbished depending on the condition of the helmet and the availability of compatible replacement parts. Start the repair process and our team can evaluate the helmet and available repair options.
Can an MSA Gallet visor system be repaired?
Many visor problems can be addressed with replacement lenses, return springs, rotators, tracks, bushings, adjustment hardware or other compatible components. The correct repair depends on the Gallet model and the condition of the visor system.
Why is my MSA Gallet helmet uncomfortable or not fitting correctly?
Worn comfort liners, ear seals, padding or internal components can affect helmet fit and comfort. Checking the liner condition, ear-seal contact and internal fit is a good first step when troubleshooting pressure points or looseness.
Can you repair the microphone, wiring or communications system in an MSA Gallet helmet?
Communications service can include microphones, earphones, main cables, wiring, connectors, volume controls and related components. If your communications are intermittent, noisy or not working, the helmet can be evaluated as part of the repair process.
Can I repair my MSA Gallet helmet myself?
Some maintenance items and compatible replacement parts may be suitable for owner installation. Structural or impact-related damage, retention problems, communications issues or repairs you are unsure about should be professionally evaluated.
